Nach knapp einer Stunde Fahrt sind wir angekommen, immer noch ein bisschen müde vom Flug, aber wir freuen uns. Giuseppina hat die Kathedrale bereits besucht, aber sie wollte unbedingt dass ich die Salzmine besichtige.

48 km de camino separan Bogotá del pueblo Zipaquirá en el Departamento Cundinamarca. Aquí no solamente encuentras el hermoso barrio antiguo en estilo colonial, sino también la primera maravilla de Colombia, la Catedral de Sal...
Luego de casi una hora de camino llegamos a Zipaquirá, todavía algo cansadas del vuelo, pero muy emocionadas por nuestra primera excursión en Colombia. Giuseppina ya ha visitado la Catedral, sin embargo, desea fervientemente que yo conozca el lugar.
La guía comienza el recorrido, tiene un altavoz, mas el sonido se pierde en las paredes de la mina. Explica acerca de la historia del lugar, así mismo aclara que esta es la nueva Catedral, ya que la primera mostró señales de inestabilidad. After almost an hour on the road we arrive at Zipaquira, still a bit tired from the flight but pleased to be here. The first sights of the town impress me, but our first stop is the salt mine. Giuseppina has already been here, but it is her wish that I visit this place.
The guide starts the tour, explaining about the history of the mine, clarifying that this is the new cathedral. There was another one that was closed due to instability in the mine. We walk along the stations of the cross, whose lighting dazzles us...
