"At the end of the road I saw a desert...a desert stretching as far as the eye can see". There, where all roads end and all sounds turn into silence, three large structures stand magnificently at the edge of a city that never sleeps, whose pulse comes from the Nile and from the thousand stories we've heard and imagined about it. Or dreamt.
Meanwhile, at the end of this desert road, we stood. Gazing at the town of Giza to one side and to the Pyramids at the other, we moved forward amidst the rocks and the sand arising from the nearby dunes. The people from the desert surely know how to deal with the heat and the harsh conditions of this tranquil landscape. Because if there is something that a desert transmits you, its calmness. Total silence. Respect for the world and for the words unspoken. Both universal rules that must never be deceived. On a camels' back we went, on a tour around the Pyramids, at the edge of time and concepts...
Through pyramids and temples, sand and heat, you'll find there's a special nature to this place. As we approached the Sphinx and looked at the town and city in front of us, there was a mysterious moment where I found out, that there are no words in the spoken language that put alltogether could describe the moment. My only consolation now, is to recreate that state of mind, to replay the images over and over again in my head and to convince myself that to be marveled at the sheer power of humanity and its legacy is an exercise of humility...
