What if we could dream without waking up?
I believe this is in fact possible with the help of a bit of inspiration. There are places where this healing power abounds and accumulates inside of you in exorbitant amounts. One of such places is the Valley of Imagination in Kapadokya, in the heartland of Turkey.

Devrent Valley is located about halfway down the road from Avanos to Urgup, but public transportation doesn't serve this area so you will have to arrange your own transport. Remember to take water or snacks, as you might want to take your time venturing in this arid landscape full of wonders. It is almost like taking a trip to your subconscious. Every step you take guarantees some unusual sights of the most incredible rocks resembling unknown shapes that are waiting for you to baptise them. I mentioned a while ago that Kapadokya is a box full of surprises and this place surely confirms that.

Over the years I've started to cherish the beauty of the mind. After physical beauty fades we will be left with our thoughts, dreams and impressions. No one can remove these from us. It is like a birthmark which you can alter and adjust throughout your life. That's the beauty of the mind.

The whole Cappadocia experience was so beautiful and spiritual to me because it was full of these precious little moments like those spent at the Valley of Imagination, moments when I allowed myself the chance to be a kid again and run in the wild, explore and touch the rocks and overall, heal my mind and feed it with new, positive and beautiful thoughts.

If you ever feel like you've lost your faith in the beauty of this world, remember that the Valley of Imagination exists and that you can always go there. Our world is full of wonders, we just have to go out there and find them. It makes you aware that you're in fact part of something much bigger than yourself and that you can share it with others. We can always feel connected to the world through these one-of-a-kind moments when we let our imagination flow without disruptions. I know it and this thought helps me to go through even the darkest of days.
And if you feel like it, sit down with someone and have a tea and discuss the wonders of the world. Activate your imagination! There's nothing more powerful than our thoughts, because they influence our attitude about the world.
